About the 2010 RTB Training Program

A 5 month program (Dec 5th - May 1st) to prepare you for a great marathon and your best Boston experience.  Whether you are running for fun or wanting to accomplish a Personal Best, this is a personalized program for you.  Chicagoland’s only fully-coached and supported training program for the Boston Marathon will focus on individual runners with a customized running and training plan so you can run your best Boston Marathon.

Your coach and program director, Mark Buciak (PB: 2:30), has completed the last 29 consecutive Boston Marathons, making him the only Illinois member of Boston’s elite “Quarter Century Club” (QCC).  Mark is also a writer for The Chicago Athlete Magazine, motivational speaker & conducts running camps in February & during the summer.No one in the State of Illinois has more Boston experience than Mark. This program gets results & is fun.


Highlights of training program

FOCUS:   The 114th BAA Boston Marathon and other spring marathons, half marathons & other races

WHO: Runners of all abilities who want to improve theirtimes & performance with the help of a full-time coach

WHAT: 5 MONTHS
The Best Boston Training Program in Illinois: Hills, tempo, long runs; seminars; yoga, core, stretch classes. Conducted by Coach Mark Buciak, QCC, 30 time finisher of the Boston Marathon. No one has more Boston experience in the State.

WEEKLY RUNS: Wed Evenings & Sat Mornings

FREE SEMINAR: Training for your Best Boston: Tuesday, December 1st, 6:30PM at REI, 1466 N. Halsted

KICK OFF RUN: Saturday, December 5th

WINTER RUNNING CAMP: March 5-7, 2010
