BOSTON MARATHON 2007: 4/16/07
Under some of the most challenging conditions in the 111-year history of the Boston Marathon—including rain (a “Nor’easter”), wind, cold. All RTB runners who started the marathon completed it, including 10 first time Boston Marathoners—two of whom ran PB’s! Coach Mark successfully completes his 28th consecutive Boston Marathon.
MAIN COURSE 10K RACE CHICAGO: 5/6/07
The RTB’s team finished in 1st Place in the team competition. Several runners won age group awards. Less than one month after running the Boston Marathon.
SAN FRANCISCO MARATHON: 7/29/07
A RTB runner selected this hilly race as his first marathon ever. He successfully completed it in 4:17, commenting: “The hills of SF were no problem because Coach Mark’s training program properly prepared me for them. I was even passing runners who lived and trained in SF.” A second RTB runner remarked that this was the “best and most enjoyable marathon [he’d] ever run.”
CHICAGO MARATHON 2007: 10/7/07
All RTB runners who started the marathon completed the entire course including, 5 first time marathoners. Plus, one veteran marathoner achieved a PB of 3:05 in the extreme heat.
GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN MARATHON: 10/28/07
5 RTB runners who completed the entire Chicago Marathon only 3 weeks prior started and completed the Grand Rapids Michigan Marathon—4 of them running PB’s.
NEW YORK CITY MARATHON: 11/4/07
Two RTB runners competed in this famous marathon which has an extremely hilly course due to the bridges and rolling hills that mark the last 10K in Central Park. Both of our runners completed the entire marathon—each running PB’s.
